What I Do and Why It Matters

I have been working for Adventures in Missions for over 3 years now. In that time my role as changed a couple of times.

What I do now is, by far, my favorite role here to date. I have the privilege of working closely with our Ministries, The World Race 11n11, The World Race Gap year, The World Race Semesters, and Ambassador. Each Program serves a slightly different age group all with the same intention: building intimacy with God, Community with others, and being part of the Mission both domestically in the United States and Internationally with Ministry Partners around the world.

I work to improve how we run our programs by doing a lot of administrative work, which is the backbone to making anything worthwhile run well. I help plan and execute our training camps for each Program, as well as our Launches where we send these groups out onto their trips to partner with Ministries that already exist in other countries to serve alongside them, impact their communities and bring a lift to the Ministry itself in what they do every day to serve the people and communities they do life with. And, I have the privilege of mentoring our leaders who lead our trips as they are in various countries with our participants. I love hearing about the impact they are making on each participant’s life through individual relationship and discipleship.

Free people, free people. And my job, both in the details and administration as well as in the mentoring and relationship, helps free people.

Our purpose is to love like He loves us. See each other. Serve each other. No matter what background, ethnicity, or country. It’s bigger than us and I love getting to have my hands in so many pieces of the process.
